Pay Traffic Fine UAE — Online & App Guide
How to check and pay UAE traffic fines: Dubai Police, Abu Dhabi Police, RTA portals, apps, kiosks and how to dispute an incorrect fine.
How to check your fines
You can check outstanding traffic fines using your plate number, traffic file number or Emirates ID across multiple portals. Fines from different authorities (Dubai Police, Abu Dhabi Police, RTA) appear separately — check each if you drive in multiple emirates.
Before vehicle renewal
All outstanding fines must be cleared before you can renew your vehicle registration or driving license. Check early to avoid delays.Payment methods
Dubai Police website / app
Check and pay fines using plate number or traffic file number. Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay.
Abu Dhabi Police website / TAMM
Check and pay Abu Dhabi fines via the Abu Dhabi Police portal or TAMM super-app.

Banks and exchange houses
Many UAE banks allow fine payment through online banking or ATMs.
Fine discounts
Some emirates offer fine discount initiatives during specific periods (e.g. Ramadan, National Day). Abu Dhabi has offered up to 50% off for early payment in past campaigns. Dubai occasionally runs similar programs. These are announced on official police social media channels and are time-limited.
Discount eligibility
Discount campaigns typically exclude severe violations (reckless driving, DUI, and offences that resulted in vehicle confiscation). Check the terms of each campaign.Disputing a fine
- Visit the issuing authority's website or service centre within 30 days of the fine.
- Submit a dispute form with your vehicle details, the fine reference number and your reason for disputing.
- Provide evidence (photos, dashcam footage, documents) to support your case.
- The authority will review and notify you of the decision — typically within 2–4 weeks.
Paying fines — FAQ
Can I pay another emirate's fine in Dubai?
Some platforms (like the MOI app) allow you to see fines across emirates. However, payment routing varies — you may be redirected to the issuing authority's portal to complete the payment.
What happens if I don't pay a traffic fine?
Unpaid fines block vehicle registration renewal and can block travel for serious violations. Accumulated fines may also result in vehicle impoundment.
Can I pay traffic fines in instalments?
Some banks offer instalment plans for large accumulated fines through their credit card services. The police themselves do not typically offer instalment options.
